Koodo Mobile Jumps On The Paperless Trail Once Again

Back in 2010 Koodo Mobile was charging the customers a $2/Month fee for customers who wanted a paper bill sent by mail. in 2014 federal government introduced legislation to stop telecom providers from charging subscribers to send paper bills. Now the way of providing the bills are changed.
As of May 1, the company changed the way of billing to E-bills. Also, the company will inform the customer when their bills are ready to be looked online by sending a text message to the customers. Koodo started doing this transition to e-bills in 2015. Jill Yetman Telus spokesperson said “This is not only a simpler, more secure way for customers to quickly view bill details, but also reduces the impact we have on the environment,”
With e-bills, Koodo customers get a monthly text and email for letting them know their balance and payment due date. Also, they can check their bills through the self-serve account and download the details of the bill. The customers can download the up to last previous 18 months.
A lot of companies are transforming to a paperless system like Presto Cards because it's good for the environment and it's easy to use so you will not be more confused with a lot of papers and you don't need to document it.
Some customers argued the paperless system and most of them are elderly customers who don't have access to any email account, so they need to request the bills from the company to send it by mail. and some customers think that the paperless idea is to increase the revenues they will derive from late payments, non-payments and cutoff/reconnection fees.
What do you think about paperless is it good for the customers, company and the environment, or they should go back to paper bills? Do you support the paperless system to save the environment?
Tell us your opinion about the new system.
